Like its European counterparts, VOST Portugal's objectives are:

• Collecting and disseminating official information on social networks during emergencies of any kind
• Tackling the phenomenon of online disinformation that can cause social alarm during emergencies
• Combat phishing operations and/or online scams by disclosure, in collaboration with CNCS
• Creating content on digital and media literacy
• Create technological tools that can be useful to populations
• Monitor social networks, during emergencies, to identify content that may be useful to official entities

HOW DO WE DO IT?

• Establishing channels of communication with official and private entities (e.g.: the LIDL Supermarket Chain)
• Ad hoc contact with other entities involved in case of need
• For the development of technology-based solutions, always open source
• For the establishment of partnerships with associations that share the same spirit for the creation of synergies, exchange of knowledge, and implementation of solutions

• Fact-checking politician
• Fundraising campaigns or assets
• Publish or amplify requests without validation by an official authority
• Manage social media accounts of other entities
• No dismiss trainees
