No longer able to supply

The week before Easter 2019 was marked by an unprecedented phenomenon in the country's logistical supply: the Dangerous Materials drivers' strike that, at a glance and with desperation, created long queues of cars at gas stations in Portugal.

In August, a longer strike made the situation just as complicated.

VOST's response was known.. Through the platform “No longer able to supply” an interactive structure was created, based on multiple verifiable sources (namely the companies owning gas stations themselves) which made it possible to inform citizens where it was still possible to supply, where priority stations existed, and where they could provide feedback on abnormal situations.

From newspapers to televisions, the impact of this website has crossed borders and shown the importance of the agility and structure of volunteers that VOST can create and coordinate. National companies and international technology partners participated towards a common goal: Provide a solution for the Russians.

It was in this activation that VOST Portugal was welcomed in the CloudFlare Project Galileo, a programme for non-profit organisations. The entry into this program, and this activation, gave rise to a mention in the Wired Magazine.
